The Opportunity

As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you will have the opportunity to unlock the secrets held by complex data sets and drive business decisions with data-driven insights. You will work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data science solutions to drive business outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and patterns
  • Communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data science trends and technologies
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with software development
  • 3+ years of experience with data science or analytics
  • Experience with BI Dashboard tools, including Qlik Sense, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Experience with building robust analytical models, including forecasts, cost models, and historical trend analyses
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R
  • Ability to work shift work as needed for contingency operations supporting 24/7 operations
  • Ability to comprehend and decompose stakeholder needs effectively, communicate development plans, track progress milestones, and present outputs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with using DataBricks to perform data transformations or modeling
  • Experience with using Cloud Native Services and web technologies, including JavaScript, CSS, Node.js, or Enigma.js
  • Experience at a Joint Staff, COCOM, or component level
  • Experience with Advanced Analytics (ADVANA), Maven, SharePoint, or Microsoft PowerAutomate
  • Possession of excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks
  • Possession of excellent critical thinking skills to assess numbers, trends, and data to reach new conclusions based on findings
  • Possession of excellent quantitative skills, including statistical analysis, process design, and data management
  • IAT or IAM Level II Certification, including GSEC, Sec+, CASP+, GICSP, CEH, CISM, or CISSP
  • Qlik Data Architect, Qlik Data Analyst, or QlikView Developer Certification
  • Databricks Data Engineer Associate, Databricks Data Analyst Associate, or Databricks Apache Spark Developer Associate Certification
Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
