This position is responsible for the precise crafting of optical lenses for spectacles, ensuring compliance with prescribed specifications and quality standards. The role involves handling both single vision and multi-vision lenses, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques to produce high-quality eyewear.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lens Preparation: Receive and process requests for spectacles, ensuring accurate matching of lens prescriptions with patient data.
  • Lens Cutting: Utilize lens measuring instruments to determine optical centers and cutting patterns, executing precise cuts to achieve the required eye size.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of completed spectacles for defects and adherence to ANSI standards, performing quality control checks on all orders.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and documenting any necessary repairs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records and inventory management, reporting daily output to supervisors.
Qualifications

Applicants must possess one of the following:

  • Completed vocational training in the optical field lasting at least 30 months.
  • Five years of relevant professional experience in optical lens crafting.
  • Alternatively, a combination of vocational training and two years of experience in a comparable role is acceptable.
Language Proficiency

Required proficiency levels include English at A2 and German at C1.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be capable of lifting and carrying weights up to 40 lbs.
