Your Role
We are seeking a skilled Junior ABAP Developer (f/m/d) to enhance our Software Logistics team based in Walldorf.
As a team member, you will assist in developing user-friendly applications and tools that enhance the software lifecycle of ABAP-based add-on products within the SAP S/4HANA Cloud ecosystem.
This role will enable partners and clients to adapt their add-ons for seamless integration into both private and public SAP S/4HANA Cloud environments, thereby strengthening our partner ecosystem and enhancing the overall perception of our core products.
As a Junior ABAP Developer for Software Maintenance and Delivery Tools, you will be integrated into a dynamic development team within Cloud & Lifecycle Management.
Your contributions will span the entire software lifecycle: from specification and design to implementation, testing, and operational support of our developments.
You will engage with product stakeholders and customers to align requirements and optimize existing solutions, enhancing user experience, supportability, robustness, and simplicity.
All of this will be accomplished using modern, agile software development methodologies, including pair programming and test-driven development, within a supportive, diverse, and multi-national scrum team.
Qualifications
- A university degree (Bachelor or Master) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related fields
- Experience in programming with ABAP and preferably another programming language
- Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented software development and agile practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English
- A willingness to learn and grasp complex systems
Familiarity with cloud development and support processes, as well as experience with software change processes, would be advantageous.
