Key Responsibilities:- **ESG Data Management**: Define, gather, compile, and report on ESG data and metrics in compliance with external reporting standards, ensuring thorough disclosure supported by advanced ESG software.
- **Monitoring and Analysis**: Continuously assess and analyze ESG data for internal strategic decisions, offering data-driven recommendations.
- **Data Governance**: Develop and oversee a robust framework for corporate responsibility data management, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security while implementing best practices for auditable reporting processes.
- **Cross-Departmental Collaboration**: Engage in collaborative efforts across functions to support corporate responsibility initiatives and independently manage projects related to reporting content.
- **CO2 Emissions Calculation**: Collect, analyze, and compute CO2 emissions for the BERNER Group, addressing scopes 1, 2, and selected scope 3 emissions; establish and maintain methodologies and tools for CO2 assessment.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Collaborate with relevant parties to ensure precise ESG data collection.
- **Strategy Development**: Contribute to the formulation and execution of the corporate responsibility strategy and objectives.
- **Insight Sharing**: Provide data-driven insights to the organization to propel sustainability initiatives forward.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Business Administration, Economics, Econometrics, or related fields.
- Ideally, several years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or CSR roles, or in a controlling function within mid-sized or large corporations.
- Proven expertise with ESG reporting frameworks, standards, platforms, and data management.
- A data-driven and analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail, complemented by problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel, with strong IT and systems knowledge, alongside advanced analytical capabilities.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and proactive professional.
- Ability to operate at both detailed and strategic levels, working autonomously and collaboratively within a global team of experts.
