Ship Operations Manager

About the Role
Carnival Maritime GmbH, a part of Carnival Corporation and plc, is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Ship Superintendent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning and execution of technical operations, including maintenance, daily activities, and improvements for assigned ships.
- Oversee the safety and environmental protection culture, working closely with onboard and shore teams.
- Collaborate with HR to evaluate and develop shipboard personnel.
- Prepare and support audits and inspections, ensuring follow-up and documentation of findings.
- Conduct technical inspections onboard and manage follow-up and reporting.
- Develop and monitor budgets for assigned ships.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Ship Technical engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or equivalent.
- Maritime practice knowledge desirable.
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
- Onboard work experience.
- Understanding of basic accounting and budget management.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Junior leadership experience.
- Clear communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Very good English language skills.
