Client Onboarding Specialist

To achieve our ambitious objectives, we are seeking a qualified individual to support our "Product Solutions Team". We currently have a vacancy for an Onboarding Manager (f/m/d).

Your responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and managing the onboarding process for securities fund launches and transfers from start to finish to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Serving as the primary contact and escalation point for clients and internal departments throughout the onboarding process.
  • Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and communicate any additional requirements.
  • Coordinating and facilitating the legal and operational setup of new mandates, including cross-country distribution requirements, by liaising with clients and internal teams.
  • Assisting clients and internal departments in addressing non-standard requests, such as commissions and new processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all onboarding-related KYC and Due Diligence requirements by collaborating with Legal and Compliance teams.
  • Establishing and maintaining efficient and well-documented onboarding and lifecycle management processes for clients in accordance with local fund regulations.
  • Contributing to product development by identifying potential enhancements and collaborating closely with Universal's Product Management Team.
  • The Onboarding Manager holds a key position with significant responsibilities and is encouraged to identify opportunities for improvement within client onboarding.

What you bring:

  • A strong university degree in business administration, economics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the European asset management sector, in either project management or client-facing roles.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with proven experience in project and contract management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A solid understanding of the investment fund industry in Germany, Luxembourg, and Ireland, including fund administration, securities services, and KYC.
  • A service-oriented mindset combined with a solution-focused approach.
  • A commitment to teamwork.
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to persuade others.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with additional languages considered an asset.
