Data Engineer Opportunity with Sonova's Data Analytics Team
As a Data Engineer within the Data Analytics team, you will be instrumental in aggregating essential data from diverse sources in a dependable and scalable fashion. Your contributions will be vital in the design and development of a global consumer data repository, ensuring the integrity, consistency, and usability of data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and uphold data models for various applications, ensuring uniformity and quality across Sonova's group entities.
- Assist in the creation of the consumer data repository utilizing Azure Infrastructure, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders; facilitate the integration of new data sources.
- Liaise with global BI and IT departments on engineering-related topics.
- Document data workflows, sources, structures, and transformations comprehensively.
- Collaborate closely with analysts to guarantee data accessibility, automate reporting processes, and disseminate best practices.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in IT, Mathematics, Science, or Engineering.
- Over 3 years of experience in data engineering, particularly in constructing data pipelines.
- Expertise in data lake and data warehouse architecture.
- Proficient in SQL (PL/SQL) and Python programming.
- Familiarity with data ETL processes from various origins.
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Databricks, Data Factory, and Synapse Analytics.
- Skilled in pipeline and workflow management tools.
- Background in code versioning, review, and documentation practices.
