Position Summary
We are seeking to enhance our team with an NCP Lead Programmer (m/w/d) based in Varel.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct make-or-buy evaluations based on the technologies necessary for component manufacturing, available technologies, and workload considerations.
- Establish the machining process, from selecting raw materials to defining the necessary steps for producing the final product. This includes choosing machining centers and determining setup and machining times, with all data recorded in the SAP management system.
- Develop numerical control programs and select optimal tools for fabrication.
- Assist operators during the initial implementation phase and collaborate on the setup and optimization of the production process.
- Identify critical processing steps and work with the quality and engineering departments to mitigate execution risks, ensuring a robust manufacturing process.
- Support Performance Variance Analysis by conducting checks post-task execution and monitoring time and quality issues to assess the accuracy of the manufacturing process and identify areas for improvement.
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in a technical field or a short degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a CAM programming role within the same industry.
- Familiarity with the technological and mechanical properties of utilized materials.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for chip removal products.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings.
- Expertise in numerical control programming for turning and milling, with a preference for turning experience.
- Knowledge of CATIA V5 and Vericut.
- Familiarity with control methods and measurement tools.
- Understanding of G and M code programming.
- Experience with various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and inserts used across different machines.
- Knowledge of common metal removal processes and cutting tool applications (feeds/speeds/etc.).
- Experience with 5-axis milling and turning/lathe machining.
- Advanced ability to read drawings and specifications, with a solid understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions.
Additional Skills
- Knowledge of various material types, including Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Titanium.
- Experience in an ISO-9001 or AS9100 Quality Environment.
- Familiarity with machines such as Bavius HBZ Trunnion 120 and Bavius Aerocell hbz 400/200.
