Company Overview:

LEIDOS, INC. is seeking a skilled and proactive Knowledge Management Engineer to support a Department of Defense (DoD) organization. This role is essential for enhancing the effectiveness of knowledge management practices.

Role Responsibilities:

The Knowledge Management Engineer (KME) will collaborate with the Information Superiority Knowledge Management team to facilitate process enhancement initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting process mapping, data collection, and analytical activities with stakeholders.
  • Recommending and implementing knowledge management strategies, processes, and tools to optimize organizational practices.
  • Developing client-ready materials such as briefings and reports while leveraging industry best practices.
  • Managing day-to-day operations of knowledge management tools, including SharePoint portals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 7 years of experience, or equivalent certifications with 7 years of experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a military or joint command environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic office setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Office Suite, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with business process engineering methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Possession of IAT Level II certification as per DoD requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Experience in a technology-driven enterprise solutions environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in knowledge management or business analysis methodologies.
  • Experience in an AGILE development setting.
  • Active involvement in the knowledge management professional community.
