Job Summary
As a Manager of the New FR16 Data Centre, you will oversee and supervise all Operations in the Data Centre ensuring safety and effectiveness. You will manage personnel, plan and coordinate projects, oversee vendor work, and ensure documentation and incident management are up to Equinix's standards.
Responsibilities
Management
- Manages the customers with a strong customer-first attitude. Fulfills the contractual obligations for the customers and is constantly improving customer satisfaction scores.
- Manages supervisors and professional individual contributors, guiding through defined management precedents.
- Ensures teams work safely, effectively, and with high regard for human error avoidance. Establishes a team culture that strictly follows the Equinix values: I'm safe, I belong, and I matter.
- Manages personnel details including salaries, positioning, hiring, reviews, coaching, development, and team building.
- Aids in testing, project management, and resolving incidents.
Project/Infrastructure Site Management
- Plans, coordinates, reviews budgets, and implements resources for projects and maintenance.
- Provides input and guidance towards budget and overall site capacity management.
- Translates functional plans into operational processes and guides execution.
Vendor Management
- Oversees contractor work to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, KPIs, and SLAs.
Testing
- Ensures standard operating processes are followed and all documentation is complete.
- Takes over new builds and building infrastructure, writes all MOP scripts.
Incident Management
- Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during incidents.
- Assists with root cause analysis and incident resolution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in critical facility management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and oversee complex projects.
- Excellent communication and incident management skills.
