Sustainability and Emissions Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking an Emissions & ESG Expert (m/f/d) to join our team at our headquarters. This role is essential in driving our sustainability initiatives and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company's CO2 reporting and offsetting responsibilities in accordance with compliance markets.
  • Continuously monitor and track CO2 exposure across all company activities, maintaining accurate records.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders regarding emissions and ESG matters.
  • Act as the first point of contact for emissions trading operations.
  • Lead the sustainability and ESG strategy for the organization, focusing on environmental and emissions-related issues.
  • Oversee the monitoring and implementation of regulatory frameworks in trading and operational activities.
  • Conduct sustainability and ESG reporting, including annual environmental audits, particularly focusing on emissions.
  • Assist the Head of PGE with all aspects related to ESG, emissions, and environmental considerations.

Qualifications:

  • A strong commitment to advancing the green transition within our organization.
  • A degree in natural sciences, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to implement regulatory frameworks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and adept at stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work in a structured manner in a dynamic environment; experience with data management is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in emissions, sustainability, or CO2 trading is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and German is required.
