Flight Crew Operations Manager

As a key player in our organization, you will oversee the Crew Planning Department, ensuring the efficient production of flight crew schedules while adhering to all regulatory and organizational standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESYour primary focus will be on managing the Crew Planning team and streamlining the process of developing flight crew rosters. This includes:
- Leading the Crew Planning Department, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Overseeing the production of flight crew rosters and annual leave planning with an emphasis on optimization and efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and agreements.
- Setting strategic goals and directions for the department.
- Establishing procedures and guidelines for both long-term crew planning and daily scheduling operations.
- Providing technical and functional support to team members.
- Reviewing calculations related to crew requirements.
- Collaborating on the optimal network schedule for the airline.
- Generating reports, analyses, and statistics as needed.
- Assisting management in negotiations with unions regarding crew matters.
- Coordinating with other departments to gather necessary inputs for crew planning.
- Driving automation initiatives for roster production and leave planning.
- Engaging with senior management regarding crew scheduling issues.
- Participating in workshops and projects that require expertise in crew planning.
- Completing additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Flight Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in a relevant field and several years of experience in flight crew management.
- Background in aviation.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements related to crew management.
- Strong proficiency in computer systems, particularly crew management software.
- Experience in administering crew management systems.
- Knowledge of flight operations and airworthiness requirements.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Effective communication skills across various organizational levels.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with a basic understanding of German.
