Research Assistant for Electronic Health Record Analysis

The Heidelberg Institute of Global Health is seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team. As a PhD student, you will work under the guidance of Dr. Pascal Geldsetzer and other researchers at Heidelberg University and Stanford University.
Research FocusOur research group focuses on medication effectiveness, health services research, and population health issues. We use quasi-experimental techniques, descriptive epidemiology, and randomized trials to analyze large-scale electronic health record data.
Responsibilities- Lead analyses in electronic health record data to determine the effectiveness of medications, lifestyle advice, and health services interventions.
- Collaborate with researchers at Heidelberg University and Stanford University to design and implement research studies.
- Develop and apply statistical models to analyze health outcomes and health system data.
- Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
- Masters degree with quantitative training or research experience.
- Strong coding skills in R, Stata, or other statistical software package.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
