Job Summary

StaffHost digital is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our team. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for enabling Enterprise organisations to adopt cloud successfully – advising and managing the delivery of large-scale cloud migration engagements based on the leading public, private and hybrid cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of cloud migration and transformation engagements
  • Create innovative, comprehensive solutions on/across cloud platforms such as Azure, Google and AWS as well as other private/public IaaS/PaaS platforms
  • Use expert knowledge and commercial acumen to provide thought leadership and strategic support in continuing to grow the Cloud Transformation practice
  • Define approach and migrate workloads to a private or public IaaS provider
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure solutions, including Windows and Linux IaaS, BCDR, Security, Storage, Networking, OSS Containers and Infra as Code technologies

Requirements

  • Experienced Cloud Architect, Engineer or Consultant with experience in advising, envisioning and/or designing solutions on either Azure, Google or AWS
  • Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure solutions (e.g. Windows and Linux IaaS, BCDR, Security, Storage, Networking, OSS Containers and Infra as Code technologies)
  • Experience in defining approach and migrating workloads to a private or public IaaS provider
  • Deep experience in at least one of these – infrastructure architecture, web application architecture, data architecture, integration architecture and at least a basic understanding in the others
  • Understanding of hybrid IT situations – that combine on-premise IT capabilities with Cloud IT capabilities
  • Relevant Cloud certifications are beneficial
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English are essential
