Senior Structural & Bridge Engineer

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional engineer to become a vital member of our Structure & Bridge Section team. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about innovation and possess a strong passion for the design of intricate bridges and structures. As a Senior Structural & Bridge Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include the evaluation, design, verification, and drafting of complex bridges and associated structures for a variety of construction initiatives.

  • Conduct design, analysis, and verification of structural components
  • Oversee project management for bridge design and rehabilitation initiatives
  • Lead project teams while providing expert technical guidance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in civil engineering principles and practices pertaining to structural engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant specifications, codes, and regulations
  • Proficiency in engineering software and project management
  • Strong communication skills

Additional Considerations:

  • Experience in structural analysis and bridge design adhering to AASHTO standards
  • Demonstrated capability to plan, coordinate, and supervise complex bridge structures
  • Exceptional project management abilities
