Position Overview
As a pivotal member of our development team, you will be instrumental in the design and upkeep of our robust backend systems. Collaborating closely with our Chief Technology Officer, lead developers, and business stakeholders, you will implement new functionalities, enhance system efficiency, and contribute to our strategic product development roadmap. This role offers a unique chance to advance your expertise and make a substantial impact within a dynamic startup atmosphere.
- Develop and sustain backend services utilizing Python and FastAPI.
- Enhance, maintain, and optimize high-computation workloads.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver superior solutions.
- Adopt best practices in software development, including clean coding, testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
- Engage in code reviews and support the ongoing enhancement of our development methodologies.
- Assist in boosting system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Continuously explore and integrate new technologies and best practices.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development, with a solid foundation in Python.
- Familiarity with web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud services is advantageous.
- Understanding of software development best practices, including version control (git), containerization (Docker), and automated testing.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.
- Willingness to work from the Berlin office several days a week.
- Proficiency in English.
