Mechanical Design Engineer – Mechatronics Specialist

Your Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Engage in the creation, simulation, and design of intricate engineering components, assemblies, and products as part of the development of electrical actuation systems, guiding projects from conception to production readiness.
- Specification Analysis: Evaluate specifications and client requirements, translating them into internal specifications while conducting tolerance and risk assessments.
- Calculations and Simulations: Perform calculations and simulations (e.g., tolerance analyses, FEM) to ensure product functionality while considering both product and manufacturing costs.
- Product Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for mass-produced products (exceeding 1 million units annually), including implementing customer change requests, collaborating with development labs for component and product qualification, and coordinating with production facilities during the implementation of changes and new products.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work independently and responsibly with suppliers and development partners.
- VAVE Activities: Analyze and implement Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives, managing projects with effective communication to suppliers, customers, production sites, and senior management.
- Educational Background: Hold a university degree in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, mechatronics, mechanical design, or a related field, or possess relevant professional experience as a technician.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar position is preferred, though recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- 3D CAD Proficiency: Familiarity with 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and SolidEdge, including the ability to create 3D parts, assemblies, and related drawings/PLM systems.
- Simulation Tools: Experience with simulation tools, ideally Teamcenter.
- Language Skills: Proficient in both English and German.
- Mass Production Experience: Ideally, possess experience in the development of components and products for mass production, including their transition to production and product release, particularly with stamping components from progressive tools and multi-cavity plastic parts, along with a foundational understanding of tool structure and component manufacturing.
