Senior Cost Engineering Specialist

We are currently looking for a Senior Cost & Value Engineering Expert specializing in Power Cabinets, Switch Gear, and Control Cabinets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance the competitiveness and profitability of Siemens Gamesa's renewable energy products through the application of Cost and Value Engineering techniques.
- Assist in establishing realistic and competitive targets by evaluating customer needs, competitor offerings, and our capabilities.
- Collaborate in defining and optimizing product architecture and specifications to ensure effective design and documentation.
- Develop cost models and guidance to support stakeholders in decision-making, ensuring optimal commercial conditions through precise cost analysis.
- Promote a culture of cost and value awareness across the organization and contribute to the development of a CVE network.
- Drive the formulation of value and cost optimization strategies by identifying best practices and piloting innovative approaches.
- Support the standardization and modularization of the Siemens Gamesa product portfolio.
- Lead technology-specific value and cost optimization initiatives with a focus on product cost reduction.
- Conduct initial cost structure analyses and product benchmarking for material fields.
Qualifications:
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about renewable energy and understand the significance of leading change. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Extensive professional experience in Procurement Engineering, Cost Value Engineering, Product Development, or similar roles, preferably in Switch Gear, Power Cabinets, or Control Cabinets.
- Proficiency in Technology/Procurement and Cost Value Engineering.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish or German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- This position requires onsite presence.
