Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team at L&W CONSOLIDATION GmbH. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Better management of a diverse IT infrastructure in the data center
  • Configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of servers, including Microsoft Windows Server 2008 to 2019, Linux (mainly SLES), and Micro Focus OES 2018
  • Configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of client systems, mainly Windows 7 and 10
  • Management and troubleshooting of network components from Cisco, F5, and Genua
  • Responsibility for the operation and troubleshooting of the Exchange environment (version 2016)
  • Maintenance and operation of the Citrix environment
  • Operation of applications in a web environment in secure environments
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of virus protection products
  • Installation, configuration, and analysis of server hardware (HPE)
  • Support in telephone-based user support
  • Updating of documentation
  • Opportunity to implement smaller projects
Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Server 2008 to 2019, as well as Windows 7 and Windows 10, including Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
  • Excellent knowledge of network and server operating systems (Microsoft, Suse Linux, Citrix, F5)
  • Deep knowledge of virus protection products
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
  • Excellent knowledge of Citrix
  • Good knowledge of standard IT components (computers, monitors, peripherals, etc.)
  • Friendly, well-groomed, and polite demeanor, even when dealing with demanding customers
  • Excellent knowledge of the German language in writing and speech
  • Good English knowledge
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of the Cisco Meeting Server area
  • Experience with Micro Focus OES (formerly Novell)
  • Skills in the scripting languages VBS and Powershell
