Tutor for Digital Homework Support

Project Overview:
In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, BHS Corrugated launched the homeschooling @ BHS project in August 2020. This initiative aimed to support employees with children during lockdown periods and frequent school closures. As a result, employees at the German location in Weiherhammer can enroll their children in a free, digital homework support program for subjects such as German, English, and/or math. The company collects the children's homework needs and organizes a tutor pool to match each child with the right support. The program's goal is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children, enabling them to continue their education during these challenging times.

Key Responsibilities:
As a tutor for the homeschooling @ BHS program, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, digital homework support to children in the specified subjects. Your tasks will include:

  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each child
  • Delivering online lessons and providing regular feedback to parents and children
  • Collaborating with the program's management team to ensure the smooth operation of the initiative
  • Staying up-to-date with curriculum requirements and educational best practices

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong educational background in the relevant subjects (German, English, and/or math)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in teaching or tutoring children
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
