Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Lexmark. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through effective installation, repair, maintenance, relocation, and modification of equipment within our team's cost and productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role are divided into three key areas:
I. Productivity and Efficiency
- Utilize communication and analytical skills for accurate diagnosis and repair of faults
- Perform preventive maintenance plans to prevent future failures
- Provide accurate feedback information following specified procedures
- Communicate with customers to confirm arrival time
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company quality procedures at all times
- Plan work processes considering customer needs and time constraints
- Effective communication with team members, hardware specialists, Field Service Manager, and Control Tower members
- Contribute to team improvement in team meetings
- Fulfill role requirements within the escalation process
- Install equipment and provide customer training as needed
II. Business Operations and Controls
- Maintain parts, manuals, and tools according to a verifiable standard to minimize callbacks
- Follow charging procedure when necessary and ensure customer acceptance
- Ensure all administrative operations are correct and submitted on time
- Take responsibility for the safety and condition of the equipment
III. Customer Satisfaction and Experience
- Ensure customer satisfaction by effectively communicating the outcome of issues or planned future actions
- Escalate non-service related issues to the appropriate department in a timely manner
- Maintain a professional demeanor in line with business requirements
- Demonstrate company standards and follow company procedures at all times
Requirements and Qualifications
- Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical background
- Prior relevant technical experience
- Understanding of customer expectations/environment

- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, is advantageous
