Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for military facilities and humanitarian aid projects in Europe, Africa, and NATO allied nations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop designs, plans, and specifications for high/medium voltage systems, low voltage systems, communication systems, lighting, and other systems of major size and complexity.
  • Apply US and Host Nation criteria, codes, and standards in the construction of complex military facilities, infrastructure works, and humanitarian aid projects.
  • Travel to conduct site visits throughout Europe and Africa.
  • Analyze existing facilities and prepare reports documenting findings, identifying deficiencies, and recommending solutions.
  • Prepare design analyses for Electrical portion of designs performed in-house, including voltage drop, short-circuit, fault analysis, selective coordination, and lighting calculations.
  • Review contractor's design submittals and participate in design charrettes and related meetings.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Fachhochschule, a Berufsakademie, or a Technische Hochschule as an Engineer in the discipline specifically required for the position.
  • Driver's license class B required.
  • Office Automation skills required.
  • English Language Proficiency Level C1 and German Language Proficiency Level C1 required.
