Position Overview
Amazon Europe Core is in search of an Optimization Manager to join the EU Fleet Procurement and Capacity (FPAC) team.
Role Responsibilities
The Optimization Manager will spearhead innovative strategies to enhance the management of Amazon Logistics' fleet. This position focuses on rapidly scaling new initiatives while ensuring high-quality outcomes, ultimately delivering ongoing value to our Delivery Service Provider (DSP) partners.
This role is part of the Last Mile Rentals Expansion team, which operates a vehicle sharing initiative that allows Amazon's delivery partners to reserve and utilize vehicles from a communal fleet.
Key Duties
- Develop creative solutions leveraging data and research to tackle broader organizational challenges.
- Adopt a holistic perspective in analyzing business operations, fostering improvements across various teams and departments.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize enhancement programs, managing them from inception to completion.
- Boost operational performance across all initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Daily Responsibilities
The Last Mile Rentals (LMR) expansion team collaborates with external suppliers to implement fleet sharing programs within Amazon Logistics. This role is crucial in facilitating a more adaptable fleet.
Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in effectively communicating and influencing diverse stakeholders, including senior management.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale programs or projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- While preferred qualifications are not mandatory for application, candidates with the following will be favorably considered:
- Advanced or master's degree.
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Prince2, or other project management methodologies.
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or vehicle sharing sectors.
- Background in conceptualizing and executing operational or supply chain management enhancements.
