Your Role:

We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect (f/m/d) to join our Consumer Domain. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and innovative environment, enjoys developing exceptional products, and is dedicated to enhancing user experiences.

As a member of the Guarantee team, you will contribute to the development of our core product aimed at protecting buyers. You will collaborate with a diverse team of Frontend and Backend Engineers (f/m/d), a Product Owner (f/m/d), QA (f/m/d), and an Agile Coach (f/m/d) to achieve shared objectives.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in implementing cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. Your primary focus will be on supporting your team members while also engaging in implementation tasks.

We utilize AWS Lambda Functions and containers on ECS to build our applications. You will be responsible for analyzing logs to identify errors within our infrastructure and backend components, which are developed using Java, Typescript, or Python. Additionally, you will assist in migrating components from our legacy JBoss monolith to a serverless architecture.

We embrace the philosophy of "You build it, you own it," empowering you to oversee changes throughout all stages until they are deployed in production. A solid understanding of CI/CD processes, preferably with CircleCI, is essential.

Beyond development, you will also engage in monitoring and automating our infrastructure, which is configured as Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. Your eagerness to learn and positive attitude will be key in making continuous improvements alongside your colleagues.

In your role as a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will:

  • Implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, Typescript).
  • Utilize containerization technologies (Docker, AWS ECS).
  • Build CI/CD pipelines, ideally with CircleCI.
  • Analyze code and logs to identify application errors.
  • Bridge infrastructure issues with associated application errors.
  • Collaborate with respect and communicate effectively in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
