Design Engineer (w/m/d) for Power Transformers
About the Role
As a Design Engineer for Power Transformers at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in shaping the energy transition. You will be responsible for designing and developing innovative power transformer solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop power transformer components, including cores, windings, and lead assemblies, considering electrical, magnetic, mechanical, and thermal principles.
- Collaborate with interface partners to create customized designs that meet customer requirements, balancing technical solutions, material usage, and processing time.
- Prepare documentation for production in coordination with procurement and manufacturing teams.
- Coordinate design specifics with technical project managers, order management, manufacturing technology, and procurement.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing process and serve as a point of contact.
- Develop transformer designs in collaboration with R&D departments.
- Participate in the International Manufacturing Network.
What We're Looking For
- Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Independent work style and willingness to take responsibility.
- Basic knowledge of 3D CAD software.
- Experience working with power transformers is an asset.
- Fluency in German and good written and spoken English.
- Strong communication, analytical, team, and social skills.
