Responsibilities

The successful candidate will represent the domain of traffic systems and transportation planning in both research and teaching capacities. This includes active participation in collaborative research networks within and beyond Technische Universität Dortmund, alongside a commitment to nurturing early career researchers. Additionally, the candidate will engage in the department's educational programs and supervise student projects, with a gradual transition to instruction in German.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess an outstanding doctoral degree and have achieved post-doctoral qualifications (Habilitation) or an equivalent credential. A proven research reputation in relevant fields such as integrated transport development planning, sustainable transport systems, mobility research, and urban commercial transport is essential, supported by recognized publications, including peer-reviewed works. Experience in securing external funding is a prerequisite. Candidates should also demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, along with a willingness to engage in academic governance and contribute to the advancement of equal opportunity initiatives.
