Role Overview
Our dedicated team is tasked with constructing and delivering deployable packages for all SAP's ABAP Products, ensuring reliability and high quality for both On-Premise customers and Operations teams in the Cloud. In this unique role at SAP, we oversee both the processes and the tools, continuously striving for improvement. Our educational approach includes on-the-job training, foundational courses, and early responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of the ABAP Release Engineering Services team, you will manage the assembly of ABAP components for both On-Premise and Cloud environments. This assembly process begins with the handover from development and concludes with the successful creation and testing of deployable software packages. Your involvement will span the entire development lifecycle—from planning to customer release and through to the maintenance phase until the end of support. With experience, you will also engage in process enhancement initiatives to address new requirements and optimize internal team processes.
Your work will involve close collaboration with development, quality assurance, release management, and central infrastructure teams, allowing you to build a strong network within the organization. This role offers a diverse opportunity for global collaboration, keeping your daily tasks engaging and dynamic.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, natural sciences, or a related field
- Methodical and independent work style
- Customer-oriented service mindset
- Strong sense of responsibility and dependability
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English
- Basic knowledge in LINUX or relational database management systems, including SQL, is advantageous
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience
