We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Thermal Engineering Intern to join our team at Vaeridion GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating geometric designs with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for the volume and mass optimization of components for highly integrated battery systems within the wing of our VÆRIDION Microliner.
Your Profile- Studying engineering in aerospace, mechanical, materials, or similar.
- Conceptual-level knowledge of aircraft components and systems.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g. Catia, SolidWorks, and/or Siemens NX).
- Experience with programming for analysis and optimization (Matlab, Python, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience in fluid mechanics and thermal systems.
- Familiarity with CFD and CHT simulations.
- Experience in pipe flow analysis and design.
- Manufacturing interest and experience/knowledge of composites, metals & additive manufacturing (polymers and metals).
- High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.
- Target-oriented, driven work style with analytic problem-solving skills required.
- English language working level proficiency is a must.

VÆRIDION is a fast-growing deep tech start-up based in Munich, Germany. Our mission is to provide an aircraft for Zero emission regional flights. We believe it's our mission to develop, build and certify a full electric microliner carrying up to 9 passengers for Short-Haul and Regional Air Mobility by 2030. A full electric microliner is cleaner and cheaper to operate than other aeroplanes in its class, it provides a better travel experience door to door up to 500 km. We offer new optimized design based on proven principles, around proven and available technology in electric motors and batteries, that brings lowest risk and shortest route to certification.
