Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer/In to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As an Electrical Engineer/In, you will be responsible for the preparation, planning, and review of projects and studies prepared by in-house personnel, Engineer (AE) firms, Corps of Engineers, and/or Bauamt in the field of electrical engineering.

• Review and carry out a wide range of studies and assignments
• Apply a broad knowledge of diverse engineering concepts and procedures
• Prepare and plan projects and studies

• Graduate from a Fachhochschule, a Berufsakademie, or a Technische Hochschule as an Engineer in the discipline specifically required for the position
• Fully recognized by German authorities to practice the engineering profession in Germany
• Office automation skills required
• Valid driver's license class B
• English AND German Language Proficiency Level B2 required

This is a permanent full-time Position (38.5 hrs/week). The designated duty station is at present Grafenwöhr. The future incumbent may be reassigned to another duty station within the same works council agency and commuting area (within the meaning of the legal ordinance on moving expense in its current version) of his/her present duty station.

The incumbent of this position is occasionally required to perform TDY (Temporary Duty Travel) within Germany. Telework: Employee may perform the work at a location away from the regular worksite (e.g., at home) on a non-routine, ad-hoc basis. This includes work performed to complete a short-term special assignment or to accommodate special circumstances.

Police Good Conduct Certificate (Polizeiliches Fuehrungszeugnis) is required for initial appointment or re-appointment after a break in service. Non-US citizen family members, except German citizens, are exempt from this requirement. Upon appointment with the US Forces, it is required to present two valid Picture IDs to get access to the Computer Systems.
