Software Test Engineer Position Overview

As a Software Test Engineer at Gentex Corporation, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive, functional automated test procedures to verify that various embedded products behave as expected in coordination with the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test procedures for embedded products.
  • Collaborate with software project engineering to ensure development milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Provide input to software requirements engineering to ensure requirements are testable.
  • Approach testing with a continuous improvement mindset through established feedback mechanisms and documented operating procedures.
  • Communicate test iteration status, open issues, and gather data to help identify the root cause of issues.
  • Participate in software and hardware technical reviews.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related field.
  • Experience with embedded software and hardware.
  • Experience interpreting product specifications and/or software requirement specifications.
  • Attention to detail.
