We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to enhance our Data Products team. In this pivotal role, you will drive the improvement of Distribusion's data offerings and spearhead the development of new products aligned with our innovation strategy. The scope of the Data Team is extensive, encompassing our internal Data Platform and customer-facing products. The team engages with machine learning, big data algorithms, forecasting, and generative AI. Our Data Platform processes a vast array of events and boasts the most comprehensive collection of data in the ground transportation sector. You will collaborate with a skilled team of data engineers and scientists, contributing to the expansion of our product portfolio and team capabilities. Your primary focus will be on refining existing products and initiating new strategic projects through thorough research. You will ensure that our products uphold the highest standards of quality and functionality across diverse scenarios, directly impacting the company's profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish short-term (sprint), mid-term (quarterly) roadmaps, and long-term vision for data products, ensuring stakeholder alignment and organizational clarity regarding our objectives to elevate our platform into a premier transportation marketplace.
- Take ownership of strategic initiatives within your product domain: identify business needs, craft user stories and requirements to facilitate seamless delivery, and conduct user acceptance testing to verify that outcomes meet customer expectations.
- Track and respond to metrics such as usage and adoption rates, ensuring competitiveness with other market offerings.
- Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including extensive communication with executive leadership.
- Implement an adaptive Scrum process to guarantee timely delivery of features by the engineering team.
- Develop user documentation to enhance system usability for both internal and external users, ensuring optimal integration experiences.
Work Environment: Hybrid work model with a focus on flexibility.
Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 5+ years experience in a Product Management role.
- At least 5+ years of experience working with Data Products in roles such as Product Manager, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer.
- Strong understanding of data science, machine learning, and prevalent challenges in the data domain.
- Proficient in both engineering and product management domains, confidently navigating the intersection of these fields.
- User-focused mindset, capable of translating metrics and user behaviors into business values and product requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at negotiating with stakeholders and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver features.
- Proactive in identifying solutions and driving process improvements within the team and product features.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and skilled in managing iterative development and prioritizing tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Data Science or Engineering.
- Background in the travel industry, particularly with pricing prediction products or machine learning.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Cybernetics, Engineering, or a related field.
