Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in empowering our organization to make informed decisions based on data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Sales team to understand their needs for data and analytics, and design solutions to address those needs.
  • Design and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance in the sales area.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards to ensure transparency on business performance in the sales area.
  • Ensure data quality by setting up monitoring, performing regular data quality checks, and troubleshooting data discrepancies.
  • Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights to inform decisions in the sales team.
  • Collaborate with the Data Platform team to shape the central Data Platform according to the needs of sales analytics.
  • Provide training and support to the sales organization on data tools and techniques to enhance their data literacy.

Requirements

  • University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 1 year of experience in a retail company.
  • Understanding of the retail industry, including brick-and-mortar and online/omnichannel channels.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Experience with designing and implementing KPIs and metrics in a retail context.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL, with experience with Databricks or dbt a plus.
  • Experience with building dashboards in Power BI or other Business Intelligence and Visualization tools.
  • Experience with Python for data analysis a plus.
  • Experience with web analytics a plus.
  • Great communication skills, with fluency in English and German.
  • Highly structured way of thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to articulate complex data and analytics content to a non-technical audience.
  • Inherent curiosity to understand processes and underlying reasons, seeking to uncover insights and ask probing questions.
  • Ability to work autonomously, managing priorities and ensuring timely delivery on commitments.
