About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team at Bertrandt, where you will be responsible for developing software components that accurately simulate real-world vehicles in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop software components that accurately simulate real-world vehicles in a virtual environment.
  • Create realistic vehicle models and components that interact with a virtual world.
  • Enhance and expand existing vehicle simulators.
  • Collaborate with engine and vehicle developers to ensure seamless integration.
  • Integrate, document, and maintain software components.
  • Support system demonstrations and testing.
  • Conduct tests and make adjustments to improve system stability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Virtual Reality, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal German language skills (C1+ level).
  • Practical experience in software development (object-oriented programming, modeling, and testing).
  • Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Experience in developing distributed systems.
  • Proficient in C++ and Qt programming languages.
  • Familiarity with 3D engines, Unreal, and Unity.
  • Familiarity with current deployment techniques, installation, and software testing.
  • Familiarity with military vehicle simulation training.
  • English language skills in writing and speaking.
  • Strong teamwork, self-motivation, and communication skills.
