We are seeking an HSE Engineer to enhance our operations on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives at both the organizational and project levels. Your primary objective will be to foster a robust HSE culture within the company and ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocating for our Work Safe Home Safe initiative.
- Assisting in the execution of the management system.
- Serving as a liaison for clients regarding HSE inquiries.
- Collaborating with vessels, worksites, and suppliers to promote our HSE culture, enhance awareness, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Overseeing the management of HSE risks on worksites and ensuring verification of critical controls.
- Facilitating risk assessment sessions with clients, worksites, and suppliers.
- Conducting investigations and follow-ups on incidents and near misses.
- Performing audits and inspections at supplier locations, worksites, and offshore vessels.
- Delivering HSE training and familiarization sessions.
- Maintaining legal compliance documentation.
- Providing project-specific HSE deliverables.
- Documenting and leveraging Lessons Learned to enhance safety and integrity.
- Monitoring supplier HSE performance.
- Reporting on Project HSE performance to the Business Unit Management Team.
- Consulting with Project Teams on all HSE-related matters.
- Collaborating with HSE colleagues.

- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Relevant practical experience in engineering or operations; HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH can be acquired on the job.
- Experience in a similar role within the maritime, shipping, offshore construction, or renewable energy sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 safety management systems, legal compliance, and risk management.
- Proficiency in drafting project HSE documentation and evaluating third-party HSE management systems (auditor qualification preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to produce clear and coherent reports in English.
