Position Overview
The Institute for Bioprocessing and Analytical Measurement Techniques (iba) is a renowned research establishment affiliated with the TU Ilmenau, focusing on innovative applications in the life sciences. Our research profile emphasizes 'Biotechniques at Interfaces', targeting the engineering of molecular and cellular processes for advancing therapeutic strategies in personalized medicine.

Role Description
The junior research group Nano-Thrombo-Interfaces (Nano-TI) is currently seeking a Master’s student to contribute to our ongoing research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct literature reviews and develop experimental plans.
  • Culture cancer cells while administering drugs at varying concentrations.
  • Assess cell viability and mortality through ELISA, confocal microscopy, and additional methodologies.
  • Perform data analysis and manage research data effectively.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
  • Students pursuing a degree in chemistry, molecular biology, biophysical chemistry, or biotechnology.
  • Familiarity with protein and cell analysis techniques.
  • A reliable, meticulous, and responsible work ethic.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong communication skills in both German and English (spoken and written, minimum B2 level); knowledge of Vietnamese is a plus.
