Join Siemens Mobility GmbH as an Electrical Engineer - Locomotive Control Systems and contribute to the development of innovative traction systems for our electric and hybrid-electric locomotives.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the technical clarification, specification, software development, and verification of the traction system. Your expertise in structured and model-based software development will be essential in bringing the traction hardware to life with your developed software.

You will work closely with our team to pick up market requirements and trends, derive technical further development of the traction control system, and ensure the reusability of your work results to foster our platform strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical clarification and specification of the traction system
  • Software development and verification of the traction system
  • Collaboration with the engineering team to pick up market requirements and trends
  • Derivation of technical further development of the traction control system
  • Ensuring the reusability of work results to foster our platform strategy

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics with a focus on drive technology and/or power electronics
  • Longstanding experience in the field of control of electrical drives
  • Sound knowledge in structured and model-based software development
  • Knowledge in alternative drive technologies like battery and/or hydrogen
  • Ability to understand and define complex systems and use a structured way of working, problem solving, and documentation
