About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Officer to join our team at Uniklinik RWTH Aachen. As an IT Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our IT systems and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Business Unit Leadership and IT Process Manager to define an organizational structure within the Business Unit that ensures IT security.
- Implement general IT and information security guidelines from the ISMS on the Business Unit.
- Work with the IT Process Manager to design processes for maintaining IT and information security.
- Support and advise individual organizational units within the Business Unit on IT and information security guidelines, both in operational operations and in projects.
- Monitor the implementation of all IT security and information security-related guidelines in the IT Business Unit.
- Evaluate, accompany, monitor, investigate, and document security-relevant incidents.
- Regularly report to the Business Unit Leadership and ISB on IT and information security.
- Conduct awareness and training measures on IT and information security for the IT Business Unit.
- Participate in IT emergency response teams.
Requirements
- You have a completed university or university of applied sciences degree in the field of computer science or a comparable field or a comparable qualification.
- You bring verifiable several years of professional experience in the field of information security.
- You have already acquired comprehensive knowledge of general laws, regulations, and requirements in the field of ISO and 2700x or comparable management systems according to Annex SL, desirable ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or comparable certification in the field of information security.
- You have a very good understanding of IT service management processes, IT security architectures, IT infrastructure, technologies, and standards.
- You bring evidence of independent working style and/or further development/continuing education and have already acquired person-related certificates on the topics.
- You have criticism and abstraction ability as well as empathy and a sense of the current situation, which enables you to quickly and good problem solutions as well as de-escalation in conflict situations.
- We expect enthusiasm for the topic of information security, flexibility in your own thinking and openness to new approaches as well as independent and methodical working style.
- Very good German knowledge as well as good English knowledge in word and writing round off your profile.
- We would be pleased about additional experience in hospital processes.
