About the Role
Carnival Maritime GmbH, a part of Carnival Corporation and plc, is seeking a highly skilled Deck & Safety Superintendent to join its team in Hamburg. As a key member of our marine service unit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest safety, health, environmental, and compliance standards for our cruise brands, AIDA Cruises and Costa Crociere.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective deck and safety operations strategies to optimize ship maintenance and upgrades.
- Manage deck and safety budgets, including spare parts and services, to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare for and support audits and inspections, participating in onboard audits as needed.
- Collaborate with Cruise Governance and Audit Management to address findings and document results in the Global HESS-MS platform.
- Provide subject matter expertise to Cruise Governance and the DPA.
- Participate in regular HESS-/Safety meetings with HESS SI Environment, HESS SI USPH, Nautical & Safety SI under the guidance of the Head of Safety and/or DPA.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in shipboard operations, preferably in the maritime sector.
- IMO license is mandatory.
- Leadership experience as Staff Captain or Safety Officer is desirable.
- Safety-driven and cooperative attitude.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Very good command of the English language (English is our Company's official language).
