Position: Power Electronics Engineer

Amaris Consulting is on the lookout for a talented Power Electronics Engineer to enhance our engineering capabilities. This role focuses on the design and development of cutting-edge auxiliary converters tailored for transportation applications, specifically in the railway and bus sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and design advanced auxiliary converters for transportation applications
  • Work closely with suppliers to define component specifications and establish technical criteria
  • Perform and document a variety of validation tests
  • Assist in production support and series testing activities
  • Generate essential technical documentation
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, delivering tailored solutions
  • Diagnose and resolve issues for the service and repair division
  • Support the technical sales team and contribute to the standardization and enhancement of product families

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in both German and English
  • At least 5 years of experience in converter design and development
  • Strong background in power electronics design and application, especially in auxiliary power or railway technologies
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse, international team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SiC semiconductor technology
  • A PhD in power electronics is advantageous
