About the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled HVDC Controls Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our Grid Solutions organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing open- and closed-loop control systems for HVDC Converter Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement control software in MATLAB/SIMULINK, as well as verify using software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test environments.
- Contribute to the clarification of technical requirements within project teams as well as with customers.
- Work with a close-knit team on a successful project development.
Requirements
- University degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering or similar and first professional experience.
- Good MATLAB/SIMULINK knowledge including modelling and verification.
- Eagerness to work in a team, to learn, and to contribute to the energy transition.
- Basic knowledge in converter technology as well as in open- and closed-loop controls.
- Experience in the configuration of automation systems is an advantage.
- Very good English language skills, German language skills are an advantage.
