Join Our Team as a Senior Associate - Financial Services Audit Focus Risk Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate to join our Financial Services Audit team. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients, with a focus on risk management and financial services.

About the Role

As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting pre-audit planning and developing a strong understanding of business processes, goals, and strategy
  • Managing global client contacts and auditees, solidifying our position as a trusted advisor
  • Interviewing clients to extract crucial information and using analytical skills to identify root causes of findings
  • Assisting clients in developing improvement measures and participating in audit closing meetings with management
  • Driving digitalization in the audit environment and preparing our clients for future challenges
  • Sharing expertise with others to find new solutions to well-known problems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 8+ years of working experience in a financial services function within Siemens, a risk management / compliance / finance organization of a regulated financial institution, or a financial services practice of a 'Big 4' / leading consulting firm
  • Profound knowledge in at least one of the following financial services areas: underwriting and portfolio monitoring of large international project finance, corporate and acquisition finance transactions, financial services regulations / regulatory requirements, Compliance, AML, CFT
  • Strong academic history, including a university degree in business / finance, ideally with a specialization in banking
  • A firm understanding of the rules, laws, and regulatory requirements of the European financial markets
  • Experience in the application of relevant Compliance related regulations and guidelines
  • General project management expertise in a complex global organization
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, as well as attentive listening abilities in a global setting
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
  • Flexibility to travel internationally and work remotely
