About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Engineer to join our team at JUCR GmbH, a leading company in the E-Mobility revolution. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing software and hardware architecture for our charging stations.

About Your Responsibilities
  • Participate in software and hardware architecture design discussions to ensure seamless integration and scalability.
  • Write robust and readable Rust code that powers our charging stations, leveraging your expertise in Rust programming and asynchronous programming.
  • Review code written by team members to ensure quality and consistency, promoting maintainable and well-tested code.
  • Design and implement automated tests to ensure reliability and efficiency in our charging stations.
  • Write Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to demonstrate new ideas and technologies, driving innovation in our team.
About You

We are looking for a skilled Embedded Engineer with:

Proficient in Rust programming, with a solid understanding of concepts like lifetimes, ownership, traits, and asynchronous programming.Basic familiarity with Linux userspace and typical system management tools.Basic familiarity with Git.Basic familiarity with embedded systems, including their limitations and tooling.Ability to write maintainable and well-tested code.Resident of or willing to relocate to Berlin, Germany.

Nice-to-Have (Optional Skills):

  • Experience developing software on embedded operating systems and bare-metal systems, especially with RP2040 and STM32 families.
  • Embedded Linux development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++.
  • Knowledge of peripherals and communication buses like SPI, I2C, USB, etc.
  • Solid understanding of Git.
  • Familiarity with Buildroot or Yocto.
  • Commercial experience in Rust, ideally targeting embedded systems.
  • Experience in developing and/or maintaining open-source projects, especially Rust crates.
