Key Responsibilities

As a member of our Carbon Capture Centre of Competence, you will engage in innovative projects aimed at facilitating the transition to carbon-neutral energy and products. Your role will involve addressing complex technical issues across various sectors, including energy-from-waste, cement, and chemicals, while collaborating closely with clients and fellow carbon capture professionals globally.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Tackling unique, intricate technical or business challenges for clients within the Carbon Capture domain.
  • Serving as a senior consultant (m/f/d) in this field and reinforcing the centre's reputation as a thought leader both internally and externally.
  • Overseeing engineering management, which encompasses planning, organizing, and coordinating resources and processes to meet project goals within defined scope, timeline, quality, and budget.
  • Participating in business development activities as necessary.

About Your Team

We welcome you to leverage your expertise as our new Carbon Capture Specialist (m/f/d). You will play a crucial role in addressing complex technical challenges across diverse industries while working in tandem with clients and other carbon capture experts within our global Carbon Capture Centre of Competence. Your colleagues in carbon capture are situated worldwide, including locations such as Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, the UK, Australia, Singapore, and the US. You will assist in bridging the gap between current practices and the envisioned future of sustainable development in challenging sectors.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A PhD or MSc degree in a relevant scientific, technical, or engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience following the attainment of your latest degree.
  • Strong technical expertise, professional experience, and relevant knowledge in carbon capture methodologies.
  • Practical experience with energy and chemical modeling tools, such as Aspen, Promax, or Thermoflex.
  • Relevant work experience with a carbon capture technology provider or engineering firm.
  • Experience in engineering management in a similar capacity.
  • Project management experience is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in navigating ambiguity, opportunities, and risks.
  • A customer-centric approach, characterized by a self-sufficient, dependable, and organized work style.
  • Intercultural competence and international exposure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with various levels of management and external stakeholders.
