Key Responsibilities:

As a Corporate Finance Analyst within the M&A division, you will play a crucial role in supporting the origination and execution of investment banking transactions, particularly focusing on M&A activities:

  • Conduct comprehensive industry and company research, alongside quantitative analysis and valuation assessments using diverse methodologies.
  • Assist in the creation of client presentations and materials for potential investors.
  • Stay informed on M&A trends and developments, as well as equity and debt market dynamics.
  • Engage actively in daily project operations, including leading specific tasks and project streams.
  • Support the development of marketing materials and analyze their effectiveness.
  • Contribute to transaction structuring and process management.
  • Perform valuation and financial modeling, along with due diligence activities.

Candidate Profile:

Educational Background and Skills:

  • A strong Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration.
  • Relevant experience in investment banking or corporate finance, with a focus on M&A origination and execution.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities and financial modeling expertise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, Datastream, or ThomsonReuters is advantageous.
  • Fluency in both German and English; basic knowledge of French is a plus.

Work Environment:

In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior bankers in the German M&A team, contributing to the origination and execution of investment banking mandates. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including financial statement analysis, financial modeling, industry research, and the preparation of client presentations and deal documentation.

The German M&A team provides strategic advisory services to major clients, focusing on the execution of M&A transactions while considering relevant legal frameworks and potential capital market implications.
