Production Process Engineer

The Process Engineer plays a pivotal role in providing technical and operational support to enhance quality, safety, cost efficiency, and overall plant performance.

Additionally, the Process Engineer is tasked with the design, planning, coordination, and execution of initiatives aimed at optimizing production workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Enhancements: Identify, coordinate, and implement opportunities for improvement in production and reliability, collaborating closely with the Engineering department. Provide technical support during production trials and apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Project Management: Oversee technical projects or contribute to them by developing concepts and ensuring effective coordination and execution.
  • Troubleshooting: Assist the production and maintenance teams in daily operations, addressing complex operational issues and executing actions derived from root cause analyses.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate the development and sustainable transfer of expertise to relevant stakeholders, including engineering, maintenance, and operational teams. Leverage networks within and outside the organization to share production and engineering knowledge.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and management to teams without direct supervisory authority, coordinating efforts between production, technical, and engineering departments, as well as third-party contractors.
  • Standards Development: Create and oversee the implementation of both internal and external standards.
  • Safety Engagement: Actively participate in promoting occupational safety within production and maintenance environments, contributing specialized expertise to various projects.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering, preferably in Process or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience in process engineering and project management.
  • Proficient in data collection and analytical tools, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement identification.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Fluency in both English and German, with a minimum proficiency level of C1.

Preferred:

  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt, and 5S methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, PCS7, and PowerBI.
