POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving technology and organizational transformation initiatives. Collaborating with technology leaders, including the Head of Architecture and senior architects, you will contribute to the development of a strategic vision for IT architecture, aligning business opportunities with innovative IT solutions in the Payments & Mobile sector.

Your exceptional facilitation and engagement skills will be crucial in enhancing team capabilities, as you continuously seek to improve solution quality. You will ensure that various options are explored, and that recommended approaches are well-defined and valuable. By championing policies, standards, and best practices, you will help shape and execute the technology strategy for TUI across various domains, leveraging your understanding of compliance and business integrity.

In this role, you will identify and implement improved architectural practices within an agile framework, mapping the gap between current processes and desired outcomes to foster innovation and adaptability to market trends. You will also ensure that technical implementations align with enterprise and solution architecture standards and organizational objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the broader context, staying informed about the latest innovations and technologies in the Mobile and Cloud domains.
  • Utilize insights to shape the emergent architecture of TUI Mobile applications and their associated infrastructure.
  • Ensure the organization possesses the architectural capacity, capabilities, and culture necessary to deliver sustainable business outcomes with high quality from the outset.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Thought leader in Mobile and Cloud best practices, actively participating in global Architecture, Cloud, and Security communities.
  • Experienced architect with a genuine passion for Mobile technology and Cloud architecture.
  • Proven ability to design architectural blueprints and optimize them to foster development and innovation.
  • Skilled in translating business vision into actionable technical strategies and effectively communicating these strategies to business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in agile environments, integrating architectural practices seamlessly into agile methodologies.
  • Strong communicator and facilitator, adept at navigating organizational and market boundaries while managing senior stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud technologies, design patterns, microservices, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
  • Hands-on technical expertise in areas such as Cloud solutions and deployment (AWS), Mobile ecosystems, distributed architectures, digital transformation, and legacy platform migration.
  • Familiarity with various Mobile platforms and technologies, along with the challenges of operating in a Mobile environment.
  • Open-minded, curious, and committed to lifelong learning.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and highly autonomous.
  • Enjoys tackling complex technical challenges and driving innovation through technical solutions.
