About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at European Tech Recruit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge software solutions using Java and other technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze functional requirements and design detailed technical specifications for software development.
  • Implement software, including configuration control, unit testing, and continuous integration.
  • Support or execute the deployment process and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Produce and maintain internal technical documentation, including software designs, test specifications, and technical notes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineering, database, testing, and documentation teams.
  • Recommend test controls, strategies, and equipment, define test schedules, and determine test data requirements.
  • Test and document results, and report to the project manager and/or team lead on performance against timelines, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain IT documentation and adhere to IT procedures, and stay updated on developments and advancements in software engineering.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support their implementation across the organization.
Requirements
  • University degree in a quantitative field (such as computer science, mathematics, engineering, or natural sciences) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience in the IT industry, with a strong background in Java (JEE) and related technologies.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of methodologies, programming languages, and technologies, including IntelliJ, Eclipse, Git, Subversion, Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Jira, or similar.
  • Proficiency in German language.
