As a Junior Analyst at the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF), you will engage in all facets of constructing our investment portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying outstanding startups through thorough research
  • Assessing incoming deal flow against ECBF's established criteria
  • Assisting the investment team in gathering data for startup evaluations, updating databases, and collaborating with entrepreneurs
  • Composing and disseminating articles, researching market trends, and aiding in the preparation of in-depth workshops
  • Collaborating with investment team members to execute deals and develop sector theses

You are a self-driven individual who enjoys delving into technical and financial subjects. A natural instinct for sourcing and identifying appealing investment opportunities is inherent to your character.

You have earned a bachelor's degree in natural sciences, chemistry, process engineering, finance, or business, and you seek to gain one year of professional experience before pursuing your master's studies.

Your passion lies in venture capital, startups, innovative technologies, and the bioeconomy.

Ideally, you possess experience in a startup, business development, consulting, or private equity as a working student or intern.

You are accustomed to working autonomously while contributing your initiative to a team setting.

You are fluent in English and proficient in at least one additional European language. You are also skilled in MS Office applications.
