Railway Safety Inspector

Position Overview:
The role involves overseeing rail-based local transport systems, which encompass underground and tram networks, as well as non-federal railways, industrial railways, cable cars, and amusement park railways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and supervising the operations of rail-bound local transport systems.
- Conducting operational investigations into railway incidents and irregularities in accordance with established regulations.
- Inspecting operational staff to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Reviewing service orders to maintain operational integrity.
- Implementing penalties for any violations within the railway sector.
- Evaluating operational measures and documentation submitted to relevant authorities, including the Technical Supervisory Authority and State Railway Authority.
- Making decisions regarding deviations from approved measures and documentation.
- Identifying and addressing irregularities during operational activities.
- Preparing formal orders that summarize evaluation outcomes and legal considerations.
- Participating in pertinent meetings related to railway operations.
- Issuing necessary permits and authorizations for company operations.
- Assessing and approving applications concerning key operational personnel.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally with a specialization in Railways, Rail Operations, or equivalent practical experience.
- Considerable experience in a similar position.
- Physical fitness suitable for working in railway operational environments.
