As a Security & Loss Prevention Manager:in at Amazon Erfurt GmbH - O80, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our operations. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential security risks, as well as developing and implementing strategies to prevent losses and protect our assets.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to Business Resilience: Participate in emergency and crisis planning for locations within your area of responsibility.
- Identify and Address Vulnerabilities: Identify vulnerabilities in areas such as loss, employee experience, process improvement, and define appropriate mitigation measures while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Coordinate Risk Management Initiatives: Serve as a point of contact and coordinate risk management initiatives with local management and external parties (e.g., law enforcement and industry associations) in all security-related matters.
- Ensure Compliance with Global Security Standards: Ensure that assigned sites meet Amazon's global security standards.
- Develop and Implement Security Initiatives: Develop and implement security initiatives on a local, regional, and national level.
As part of the Global Security Operations organization, Security and Loss Prevention supports Amazon's business objectives and strengthens our brand by effectively protecting against relevant threats and managing security and loss prevention risks, including:

We collaborate with our stakeholders to ensure a secure Amazon supply chain and promote security in business decision-making. We do this by preventing security and loss prevention risks and vulnerabilities as early as possible, intervening in emerging incidents to minimize negative impacts, and thoroughly investigating security incidents to identify and eliminate root causes and prevent recurrence.
Basic Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Relevant Experience: Relevant security or risk-related experience (e.g., security services, physical security, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, compliance, or similar)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Proficiency in using the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
- Advanced German Language Skills: Advanced knowledge of German in writing and speaking
- Intermediate English Language Skills: Knowledge of intermediate-level English in writing and speaking
- Advanced Education: Relevant higher education, equivalent higher education, or industry certification
- Physical Security Systems Experience: Experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, and/or leading contract security personnel
- Experience in Retail, Warehousing, Distribution Centers, or Logistics: Experience in retail, warehousing, distribution centers, or logistics
- Data Analysis Experience: Experience with data analysis
- Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license
